Mark Gold is passionate about two things: his family, and the mission and vision behind Amatus Health, the growing healthcare system he co-founded with Michael Silberman and Baruch Rabhan.

“We want to build healthy communities by providing quality healthcare to all. We want to create a dynamic healthcare system, for everyone,” says Gold, CEO of the company.

Based in Owings Mills, Amatus Health is a leader in substance use and mental health treatment. At their centers across the country, they treat the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the disease of addiction. They take extra steps to help clients heal, conquer addiction, and begin to thrive again. They also use their knowledge to work with healthcare facilities across the country, offering management services, licensing and compliance, business development, marketing, and operations.

Amatus is growing nationwide, opening new recovery centers and other services. “We want to be a complete healthcare system,” says Gold.

In Maryland, Amatus Health currently operates three facilities: Foundations Recovery Center, Fresh Start Recovery Center, and Awakenings Recovery Center. This fall, they are opening the Baltimore Detox Center; it will be Amatus’ fourth center in the state and the 15th nationwide.

“The need for mental health and substance abuse treatment continues to increase, especially in these challenging times,” says Gold. He explained that everyone who seeks care at Amatus receives an individualized treatment plan using effective, evidence-based therapies.

“Our goal is to help clients rebuild their life and support system, clear damage from the past, and find peace,” says Gold.
