An Evening Celebrating Innovative Education @ Knish Shop

AMIT Baltimore is hosting an evening Celebrating Innovative Education, featuring Keynote Speakers: Yael Zelinger, Coordinator of JADE, Jewish Advocates For Deaf Education & Disability and Inclusion Associate and Amian Kelemer, Chief Executive Officer of the Center For Jewish Education, Macks Center. The funds raised from this event will fund Bar Mitzvah ceremonies for boys with autism from the local Lotem Special Education School who work with students from AMIT Hammer Jr. & Sr. High School for Boys to achieve this milestone life experience.

Sponsorships are available to help fund this program which covers tefillin, clothing, transportation, celebration and recording of the child’s Bar Mitzvah.

Here’s the schedule:

Oct. 26 — “The Stoop in the Dark: Stories about the unseen, unknown and untold”

Nov. 16 — “My Freaky Family”: NOTE: This is an open-mic show is at The Creative Alliance. Tickets are $9-$15 for this show.

Dec. 12 — “Breaking with Convention: Stories about Unconventional Holidays”

Feb. 22 — “That ’80s Show: Stories from a decade of excess, fear, big hair and the bomb.”

April 19 — “On Drugs: Stories about dependence, destruction and salvation.”
