Pepper-Crusted Maple Lacquered Salmon

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tbs. light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
- 4 6-oz. salmon filets
- 1/4 cup black pepper ground, course
- 1 tbs. olive oil
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the syrup, brown sugar and soy sauce and marinate for a minimum of four hours.
- Preheat sauté pan for 2-3 minutes then add oil.
- Place top side of salmon into the black pepper and press on it so the pepper sticks to the salmon.
- Place salmon pepper side down in sauté pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Cook salmon in a 350-degree oven for an addition four minutes or until cooked as desired.
- Salmon can also be grilled for approximately three minutes per side.
