Towson University Vigil for Victims of Pittsburgh Shooting

On Oct. 29, Towson University held a vigil for the victims of the Oct. 27 mass shooting at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue. More than 100 people were in attendance, including brothers from Alpha Epsilon Pi, the Jewish Fraternity on campus. Speakers included Rabbi Mendy Rivkin of the Towson Chabad House; Leora Match, the Student Coordinator for Towson Hillel; Rev. Laura Sinche, Religous Staff Coordinating Council President and Pastor for the Lutheran Student Ministry; and Towson University President Kim Schatzel. Vigils and memorial services were held Oct. 29 at synagogues, university campuses and elsewhere across the Baltimore area.
